Relationships: Family/Couples

We offer counselling for relationships either within or outside of marriage. You may decide to come as
a couple or individually.

Relationship counselling isn't confined to couples. Many relationship difficulties are between parents and
children, especially adolescents, and we can offer support for both parties either individually or as a family.
This can be an opportunity for both parents and teenagers to sort out their difficulties and gain a better
understanding of themselves and their individual roles within  the family.

Couple Counselling is a specialist area, Care in Crisis has a limited number of counsellors working in this
area, hence the lengthy waiting list. As an agency we are reviewing our counselling service to couples
and are in a developmental stage at present.

Our counsellors are not trained to work with complex marital/relationship problems; these being, where
there is, or has been, domestic abuse or where there is ongoing alcohol/drug dependency.
